Italian National Championship 2023
Description
The Sport Association Mario Tosi with the support of the Municipality of Tarvisio is organizing the sixth edition of the Tarvisio Winter Trail scheduled on the 11th of March 2023 with three kinds of trail running races on the snow in the basin of the Lakes in Fusine (UD), under the Mount Mangart.
Races
• Monte Mangart Winter Trail: 15 km with 780 m D+, (competitive race) worth also as final race of the national NORTEC-CSEN Winter Trail running cup 2022 (Italian National Championship). The participation is also open to foreign athletes.
• Winter Trail Alpe del Lago: non-competitive race open to all (route: 10.0 km with 180 m D+).
• Young Winter Trail: noncompetitive race for the young categories
on the distance of approx. 1,5 km. For the category baby (born 2014 and 2015), kids (born 2012 and 2013), on the distance of approx. 3,0 km for the category young (born 2010 and 2011) and junior (born 2008 and 2009).

Prices
Total 2.300 Euros in money for the competitive race and lots of prizes also for the the Young Trail and Winter Trail Alpe del Lago (sport, technical and gastronomic prizes)
Entries
The registration will be possible until 08.03.23 and must be submitted online on the website www.tarvisiotrailrunning.com. The registration fees are:
• Monte Mangart Winter Trail(online registration only):
- fisrt 100 registrations – 35,00 Euro;
- from 101 to 200 – 40,00 Euro;
- from 201 to 300 – 45,00 Euro;
- from 301 and further 50,00 Euro.
• Winter Trail Alpe del Lago: 20 EUR for registrations completed online until 08.03.23 and 25 EUR
for registrations made up to one hour before the start of the race.
• Young Winter Trail: 10 EUR for registrations completed online until 08.03.23 and 15 EUR for
registrations made up to one hour before the start of the race.
National circuit
The Monte Mangart Winter Trail is also valid as a single race of the NORTEC-CSEN WINTER TRAIL 2023 National Championship and final of the NORTEC Winter Trail Running powered by SCARPA.
The Monte Mangart Winter Trail will take place on a very spectacular route starting from Lago Superiore di Fusine and will climb up to the 1380 m of Rifugio Zacchi and then descend to the finish line in the area in front of Lago Superiore. The Alpe del Lago Winter Trail runs up to km 8 on the same route as the queen race and then takes the link road that takes the participants to the finish line along the road that leads to the Zacchi refuge. The Young race will unfold on an easy track of about 1.5 km and 3.0 km entirely in the Malga del Lago.
