AN IDEA BORN WITH MALFI AND CARRIED FORWARD IN HIS MEMORY.

The Tarvisio Summer Trail was born from an idea grown together with Mariano Malfitana, passed away in April 2021 at the age of 70 years old, defeated by Covid. A friend, an athlete, a teacher, for many of his
boys a second dad.
Financier, arrived in Tarvisio in the 70s from Sicily. Athlete, ski instructor, coach and organizer of many sporting events, including the Etna Marathon, in his Sicily, the Tarvisio Winter Trail, the Relay Alpina del Monte Lussari and many others.

All-round sport lover, in the latest years has given its invaluable contribution at the Bachmann ski college and the FVG Committee, of which he was a point of reference, which among other things, he was among the main promoters of the Italian Cross-Country Skiing Championships held in Tarvisio in March 2021.

TARVISIO WINTER TRAIL is every year taking place in Tarvisio, more exactly in the Fusine Lakes‘ basin, one of the most beautiful places of the region Friuli Venezia Giulia. The lakes of glacial origin, connected one with each other by easy paths, are placed in the heart of a spruce fir wood and at the feet of the Mount Mangart mountain range.

The environment, where many typical animals and plants have their origin, changes according to the seasons into infinite ranges of colors, painting the woods and lakes with unique shades making this place even more magical.
